This safety and monitoring interface also allows PV inverters from other manufacturers to benefit from  PV monitoring and secure shutdown at the module level. The interface captures the module performance data transmitted by the SolarEdge performance optimisers and passes it to the SolarEdge monitoring portal. The interface also allows the SafeDC ™ mechanism to interlock and de-energise the line optimisers on the module as soon as the power supply or inverter is turned off. Therefore, the safety is increased during installation, maintenance and the event of a fire. 

The safety and monitoring interface can be used for any system in which SolarEdge power optimisers are installed and can be retrofitted at any time with the inclusion of power optimisers.

The interface is compatible with a wide range of inverters from other manufacturers, it is certified for outdoor use and is easy to install.
